Hi all
now i'm no wizz on the tech side of computers but my kids desktop has stopped playing sounds/music
the speakers are built in to the monitor and work fine from another desktop
so thats it now i'm stuck please help!!!

sounds like a driver issue, do oyu gave intergrated sound or card?

if you have a sound card, try reinstalling the audio driver

if you have intergrated, reinstall the audio driver from your motherboard CD, if you dont have that you can find them on the internet.

i think it is a intergrated one
i have tried going to device manager and update driver but it dont fix the problem

are you sure your sperakers are working? are they muted' through your pc?

the speakers dont show as muted
i have tried going to system sounds and clicking play but still no sound

These are some of the hopeless cases I have seen, well the chosen ones who actually get to encounter such problems would have to undergo a lot of hassles but what else can be done. I know these are issues which are beyond logic and explanation and you got to try out all the ways possible to make it work.

u should have to go for particular service center for it... or contact any hardware engineer... bcoz this kinda probs u won't get it solved with your hands.
