no sound (only on some things)
some of the sound on my laptop just randomly stopped working.
itunes works fine but msn and the videos on youtube etc have no sound at all. the sound is definitely on and in the manage sounds thingy in the control panel, all of the volumes are set at the same level so i should be able to hear something. oh and i'm running windows vista if that helps.

Hmmm...
Play iTunes and then put a video on youtube at the same time. If the music is playing but the video sound is not you can count out any hardware issues and its down to software/plugins/drivers etc.
