Ok, I have lately just been makeing my own Video Game and went to play it and noticed there's no sound..

It is a newer computer and has a built in Audio spot where I can plug in (microphone, Micro. combo, and spakers) But it doesnt work..

I get a "No sound device found." When I try to play music...

SPECS.

Processor:
Intel (R) Celeron (R) CPU
2.40 GHz (100 x 24.0 CPUID:OF29)
Bios Version:
P4S61 Bios
Cache Size 128 Kb
Microcode update F29/11

It is a Asrock P4S61 Motherboard

I can't hook it up to the Internet so can someone gimme a link to dpwnload something to a CD For it.

I have figured out

Re: No Sound

Try this
go into my computer
Right click in any open space
Go to Properities
Then Hardware
Then Device Manager
And then scroll down to where you can find your sound input devises and see if they have got any yellow or red marks beside them (normall on the left hand side)

Cheers

Re: No Sound

You may want to go into the BIOS and confirm that Onboard Audio is Enabled.

Re: No Sound

There should be a driver CD that came with your motherboard. Put that in your optical drive and it will most probably have an auto-play menu. Onboard audio drives should be in this menu somewhere.

Re: No Sound

You need a driver, not a media player.

It's best you get the correct driver for your motherboard here, rather than some random place. AC'97 codecs vary with revision; some drivers wont expose the correct features.

For example, this is a C-Media implementation, which usually support HRTF - not a standard feature.

Re: No Sound

Yes of course, use the Audio driver to get Sound working...

VGA and AGP drivers are different things. One is for the graphics chip, the other is for the interface logic.

Audio/Modem Riser (AMR) (and also Communications Network Riser; CNR) is a small low-profile slot that supports a very narrow range of products. Generally speaking, Riser cards are manufacturer and motherboard support specific, so you have to buy the right AMR/CNR card for the right motherboard. Even then, the cards are low-featured and usually require varying levels of software emulation that burdens the CPU. Naturally, a driver is required to allow windows to detect the AMR/CNR bridge.

Re: No Sound

Is the driver now properly installed in the device manager? Have you plugged your speakers into the right place? Is the volume up?
