The reason people leave crappy forums

I noticed we have had some members leave recently and the forum goes for sometimes days without any new posts. I think I know one reason why. Although some members on here are friendly the admin is not. If you disagree with spyhus you get points against you. This is complete bullshit. I was kicked off another forum for expressing my views about Windows Vista. Again, the admin kicked me off because he liked vista. Not because I insulted people or name called. Although this was done to me often and it went unpunished. I was given a warning by spyhus recently for in his words "giving bad advice". The only real advice I ever gave anyone on here was to get a better video card and stay away from vista.

To warn me over this is very immature at best. I don't really expect this will stay up very long, but maybe some will see it.

I would suggest an unmoderated section. That way people that have views that differ from that of the admin can express them without being punished for it.

Just my two cents

Tom has a little shameless behaviour in the past
We've never banned anyone for having an opinion.

I don't know the details of what Syphus said to you, but im guessing he didn't say stop expressing your opinion, I'm guessing he said stop expressing your opinion as an absolute fact, Since there is a big difference. Thats the only thing that bugs me about people who are anti-Vista, it's fair enough you dislike an operating system, but stating that Vista is a "Bad" or "Worse" operating system than any other should not be said as a factual statement because it's simply unprovable.

I hope you can understand this.

I do understand what you are saying. I don't think I ever said those exact words. What I said was that any machine that will run Vista will run XP faster and better. The numbers don't lie. If you will look up benchmarks of XP SP3 vs Vista SP1 you will see what I mean. The problems that I and many others have had with Vista are very real and proven facts, not something I just made up.

His exact words were I was given a point and a warning for "continuously giving bad advice"

How me recommending a faster (proven) more stable (proven) OS is giving bad advice, I'll never know. So I can only assume that because I cannot be proven wrong he'll just threaten me a little bit so I'll shut up.

How can that be bad advice its the advice almost every XP and then Vista user gives, Vista is a brilliant OS when you have a £1.5k+ pc. XP Slaps vista on the back and sends it packing in every aspect, power, performance, stability, security and ease of use.

If that was his reason for punishment it should be revoked.
