256mb RAM only registering as 128mb!! - Computer Forum

This is quite puzzling to me, I have to upgrade 50 PC memories to 256mb. Now The ram is Kingston KVR133X64C3/256 and I received 2 types. The first has chips on both sides of the stick and seem to work fine, the other has the chip on 1 side but only registers as 128mb.

To make matters worse I tried them on another style of PC we have which registers the stick properly at 256mb... uh

!!

The problem pc is a Centerprise P3 650hz, motherboard GA-6BXC.

Any response will be greatly received.

You've updated this in the BIOS right? If not then it will only use the 128MB of it.
