Will this RAM work?
Hi,I have just bought a motherboard and some RAM. I have just noticed that the motherboard does not take quite the same RAM as I bought for it.
The motherboard is an 'ECS Geforce 6100SM-M MATX AM2 DDR2' which, it says, supports DDR2 533/667/800 memory modules at 266/333/400 MHz memory bus.
The RAM I have bought is 800MHz PC6400 DDR2 800MHz. Will this work?

I added some bold and underlines to show you the information you need to know.

It will work - "DDR" means Double Data Rate, so you double the system bus speed to find out the rating of the RAM. If the bus speed is 400MHz, you'll get DDR rated at 800MHz.
