Hello. I'm in the market for some extra ram, but I don't know what to look for.

I've tried to read through buying rams for dummies and such, but I just can't make sense out of it.
The only thing I'm worry about is ram compatiblity issues and such.

My current computer spec
Window Xp
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.39 Ghz
512 Ram
Nvidia Geforce4 MX 420

To find out what sort of RAM your PC can take, We will need to know what motherboard you have.

You can find out which motherboard you are using by Running CPU-Z.

When shopping for memory look for RDRAM PC1066.
Also, looks like an AGP 4X card should work.

Wow, an RDRAM machine...few and far between

Unfortunately, PC 1066 is extremely expensive because, well, it always was, but also because there is a very low demand.

CPU-Z often doesn't name OEM boards

I am thinking of upgrading my ram. i want to see if i can get another 500MB for it.
