Re: Is it my Ram?!!
Hello and welcome to the forum,
Have you done the usual check for viruses,Spyware etc? Use this to check your RAM for errors. Use the precompiled ISO or the floppy version (probably easier but if you don't have a floppy drive....) Post back if all fails ![]() |

Re: Is it my Ram?!!
If I had to guess, I'd say a corrupt/dying harddrive. Missing Windows files are usually a sign of corruption with the harddrive.
You can run a chkdsk/scandsk to see if your Windows neeeds to recover any missing files. http://www.updatexp.com/windows-xp-chkdsk.html - step by step On my old 80GB HDD, it couldn't even pass a chkdsk scan without freezing. I had numerous bad blocks, the harddrive was obviously dying.

Re: Is it my Ram?!!
i faced the same situation when i accediently delete my current windows, from the default operating systems list. so, all i was doing is, moving in to a circles inside bios. have you yet tried to boot using a bootable windows CD? i fixed mince by booting from a windows cd then going in to the repair option and rebuilding the boot.cfg file.
