at the moment im running my pc with 512mb of sdram what i would like to know is i have 2 other slot which are ddr is it possible to run both lots or would i have to upgrade what im running now

Okay, if you can't figure out what the hell the above post means, let me answer simply.

Chipsets which support two types of memory, for example, SDR SDRAM and DDR SDRAM or DDR SDRAM and DDRII SDRAM cannot run both types simultaneously. You can only populate one type, populating the other will cause a no POST or simply re-route to the faster module type.
