Question!

hello all, i just have a question i hope you can answer. I have an hp pavillion a1114n, with pc 3200 memory, heres the deal, i still have some memory from my last pc, i have 1gig of pc 2700 memory, the question is if i put the gig of 2700 in, would i see a difference? or would it just be a waste of time...thanks in advance..

How much is in your system at the moment?

If it's less than 512, you might benefit from using some of that spare memory, but be aware that all memory must run at the speed of the slowest module. This would mean your existing memory would have to match the DDR333/PC2700, shaving off approximately 500 MB/s of bandwidth.

If you already have 1GB, it's not worth it; it'd cause more problems than it'd solve.
