RAM conflict
I hav a GENX VIA P4M800, VIA PM800 Chipset- Supports DDR400/333/266, am currently using a pc3200 ddr, i tried using two pc2700 ddr memory modules but my system become very unstable, i tried the same on a kobian mercury motherboard and all was fine- It seems i cant use two at the same time, or is it the frequency of the RAm chips that have to be the same? plz help

Re: RAM conflict
It's probably due to Latencies
Make sure your memory latency settings (CAS, RAS. tRTC etc) are set to Auto or Configure by SPD. As a rule, you should always run a memory diagnostic when installing new RAM, to ensure everything is kosher. I prefer Memtest86+. |
