memory setting

heeeeeeeellllllllpppppppppp

i just bought a new motherboard, amd athlon 64 3500 processor and kingston 512 mb x 2 400 mhz..but i dunno how to set the mother board bios for the memory..now the memory ran at 166 mhz..it should be running at 400mhz right..i set the setting for auto..please help....

Hi basriucs, welcome to itsallPC

First off, don’t get confused between the DRAM clock and the DDR clock. This has been mentioned before here. Please have a quick look over it.

I’d recommend downloading your latest BIOS (click here.). I went to gigabyte to fetch your BIOS download link and noticed that there was something about DDR. It’s hard to make out what it actually means, but that’s fairly typical of Gigabyte. Try reading the back of your box…they can be hilarious

Anyway, update your BIOS first and if it doesn’t help; post back.
