What is this ram??

I just found these 3 ram sticks (or what i presume are ram sticks) whilst clearing out junk...

Here they are pictures with a normal Desktop ram chip.

I was just wondering about these, they look interesting... Im guessing they are about 4-8MB each?

Can anyone fill me in on any more details as to age + what type of pc they were in ETC?

Thanks for your help

Re: What is this ram??

What you're looking at there, is 30-pin SIMM Memory, used in very old systems like 486s and early Pentiums.

Those modules would probably be somewhere between 512kB and 4 MB and have an access speed of 70ns. 30-pin SIMMs were the precursor to the 72-pin SIMMs, that supported EDO and FP RAM. Later came SDRAM and DIMM slots, which have existed until today, in 168-pin; 184-pin (DDR) and 240-pin (DDR) incarnations.

Those modules have historical value or sentimental value, but very little fiscal value.
