Cost effective graphics card
Getting best value for money is the primary concern of most buyers, especially in the PC hardware market. Where graphics cards are concerned, is it the only factor involved.
Unfortunately, it's really hard to quantify value for money. Any !!!!ysis of data shows that the more you pay for a graphics card, the less bang you actually get for your buck. The most effective method of deciding value for money is price classing: setting an arbitrary value range and examining the performance and features of all the candidates in that fit into the range. This is what THG have attempted to do with their The Best Gaming Video Cards for the Money: October 2006, and in a rarity, have succeeded quite well. I agree with them on nearly all the points. Well worth the read for anyone who's either looking to buy, or would like to know how to properly advise people. THG reviews. |
