Intel plans for DDR3
Toward the end of next year, Intel's Bearlake-X chipset will replace the existing 975X Glenwood, bringing PCI Express 2.0 and DDR3 to the party.
I will be very interested to see what they call it, having run out of numbers. Will they go the X15/X25 way? Will they come up with something new? Who knows!
One thing is clear though; Barelake-X breaks the somethingwood tradition of the high-end that began with Canterwood 3 years ago.
