ASUS and Gigabyte have reached an agreement resulting in a joint venture with an initial capital of 128 million quid, xbitlabs reports.

According to Asian sources, Gigabyte have a 51% share of the venture. The two giants will begin brining products to market under the Gigabyte name in early 2007.

This is probably a good thing, as both companies have a wide portfolio of retail and OEM motherboards, add-in hardware and consumer electronics.
