Laptop Networkin

I recently reinstalled windows on my laptop as the older version was having far to many problems.
Know it has the newer version of vista it solved all the old problems but one still remains the laptop refuses to find my network.
I have an eepc which uses wirless and that can find my network but the main laptop can't the only network showing is a
broadband ppp0e connection or something like that.
I know of several wirless networks in the area and it can't find any.
The wirless switch is always on.

I would even try and go back to my older version fix its problems and connect to my network. The laptop connected to my network before then we took it on holiday for the music on it and when we came back it won't connect to any networks anymore.

Can anyone please help thanks

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for wireless ?

or even as simple as turning the wireless off at the wall and turning it back on ?

I had the same problem a few times and they worked for me lol

The drivers for the laptop came with it.
It is a wireless enabled laptop How would I do this and if i
uninstalled the drivers could I reinstall them.
I have a belkins wirless adapter that I use for my upstairs computer
and it works on the upstairs computer but not on the laptop with this device i have tried reinstalling and uninstalling to no use.

I noticed another problem just recently which has to be the reason why I can't connect to the internet. When I go to the networking center on vista and select the settings like file sharing etc. I noticed now it won't let me change them non of them including the network discovery.

I really need help with this I'd rather get help from you guys than take it to a store and have them charge me probably for things that don't need doing. thanks

Thanks for replying
