hi,

i'am using a wireless connection for my laptop thru a router.
my broadband keeps getting disconnected every now & then.
anyone knows why? please advice.

Have you done the usual stuff, run anti virus,run spy-ware & also turn router off for 15 seconds.Also reinstalling the router disc may help.

How far way from the router are you, are you in another room at all? Distance can affect the wireless signal, I had this problem a few years back and just repositioned the router so it was closer and not going through too many walls and voila!!!
Certainly do the checks that Tigerplank suggested too, especially the re booting of the router :-)

I also had this problem and, during a time that I could actually access the internet, I went onto the Modem Routers' manufacturers website and downloaded the firmware updates for it. This worked for me.
