Can't figure this out...
I have a Belkin router connected to my PC which is connected to a virgin media broadband modem. I host for my downstairs wireless connection. Recently my internet is disconnecting on my PC but still working on the router(all the lights are on) and my downstairs wireless still stays connected. I've tried checking my firewall, which has it as allowed, I've checked all the plugs are connected and in properly. The only way i can get it to work again is by repairing it via network connections or unpluging it and putting it back in.
Any ideas... P.S. I'm sorry if i havent included any information required i havent used a forum for pc problems before, so dont hesitate to ask me any questions. Thanks |

If the PC upstairs is going off the wireless and the router is staying on and the dowenstairs PC stays on thenI woud think that something inbetween is stopping the signal or weakening it.
Try moving your router or reinstalling your network card, this may solve the problem. Also make sure that your Router is not near a cordless phone, this can cause interfearence with the signal. Chris |
