this is my first time writing here so a warm hello to everyone
![]() recently ive been problems while accessing the website.. usually once i go to youtube (ive posted a photo) there are no buttons and nothing at all works ![]() and if i click on a video it gives me the usual old java script message as such ![]() funny thing is when i go to the youtube's internal help page all the buttons seem to work properly ![]() here is what ive tried to do on my IE7 but nothing has worked so far 1. remove the java and re-install it compltly 2. format my computer and re-install the windows (i must be pretty desperate) 3. go to internet options - security - custom settings - (i) ActiveX controls and plug-ins (enable) (ii) Display video and animation on a player that does not use external media player (enable) (iii) Download signed activex controls (enable) (iv) Run Activex controls and plug-ins (enable) (v) Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting (enable) but it still wont work.. and oh yes, other websites with embedded players like photobucket and videojug are working just fine im seriously a noobie when it comes to computers, but anyone who could help would be more than welcome |

Hi aerslan, welcome to itsallPC
I know this is not a solution as such, but have you tried using Firefox? If the problem is not resolved by a re-installation, once can only conclude that:
When did the problem begin? Did the problem coincide with any new software installation? Following the re-installation, did you install any other third party software before testing youtube or was it a clean install? Did you install IE7 from the same installer, or did you re-download it? How are you connected to the internet? Do you use a web proxy? |

bro i tried the firefox but its feautring the extact same thing, i also installed the new shockwave player now without any luck.. as for you question
1.its been happening for about a week now 2. my laptop was constantly downloading stuff, so i suppose there was a virus issue thats why i formatted everything.. my installation was done thru the original xp present in the system restore back up drive 3. first thing i did after my re-installation was download all the norton and windows updates so that the computer would be properly protected. 4.my computer came with IE 6, but youtube was working there, so i downloaded IE7 from microsoft 5. i use broadband cable (worldcall pakistan) 256kbs 6.im really not sure what the means, but from what i think ive set it to automatically detect proxy its kinda wierd considering all my other video hosting websites are working properly except for youtube |

okay so i tried www.unblocked.org and something wonderful just happened.. the website actually opened up and started working.. but once i click on the video it gives me the same flashplayer thing.. so this must mean that its being blocked by my isp or something..
i guess now with this diagnosed all we need to do is find a way around this, anyone with any ideas |
