Is it possible to view what is being displayed on screen of another PC. On a PC your working on over a home network wired or wireless? If so can any one explain to me how to to set this up. Also if there is any software needed?

If you're using Windows XP, I don't really understand the point of using the slower VNC over Remote Desktop/MSTSC.

That's creepy. In a Big Brotheresq privacy violation kind of way. Would you peek through your child's room keyhole and watch them undress? I certainly hope not.

Re: viewing another display

You either trust your kids with a computer, or you don't let them on it...

Make that choice - IMO, secretly looking at what your kids are going on is wrong.

Just a strong view of mine... :

Re: viewing another display

My parents gave me unrestricted access to the internet, as many others. Now, despite that horrific fact, I am an accomplished technician and generally intelligent and moralistic person. You on the otherhand, are the first user I've felt the need to ban. Sad isn't it.

Plenty enough axe murders have been raised in insecure ironfisted households where there is no privacy. We can do without unsympathetic and course languaged people such as yourself.

Let me take this opportunity to reiterate that itsallPC will not support any illegal or immoral action, especially the invasion of privacy, which in the context of PCs is the most serious moral crime.

Censorship of children on the other hand, is tentatively supported as a caregiver's right and prerogative, subject to maturity. There are plenty of solutions to prevent children from gaining access to undesirable content. Entrapment is not a solution.
