Home network Whoes
I have three Pc's running Winxp Pro and one xphome sp2 using a modem router. The problem I have is all pro machines can see each other but not the home one where as the home one can see all pro machines and can drag files to and from them, If i go to my network places in the home machine I can see all pro machines shared folders, but not it's own.
I suspect it to have something to do with windows firewall which is disabled but when I go to the advanced tab on Local area connection it tells me that the firewall is enabled for lan and internet. How can I disable It Hope someone can help. |

Re: Home network Whoes
Home networking between XP Pro and XP home your typical nightmare from Microsoft. First of all get rid of that awful windows firewall install zone alarm Click here to download it
Install it it turns off windows firewall automatically. Then you can right click on the tray icon and disable if you need to. Ok I am including here 2 tutorials for setting up networking/file sharing in XP pro and XP home follow them if this does not work pop back and we will see what is going wrong Click here for networking/file sharing in XP Pro and XP home simple file sharing Click here for networking/file sharing in XP Pro more advanced Hope this helps you out LozĂ‚Â! ![]()
