Which replacement motherboard?

Hi all i have an old Compaq PC which looks like this,

The specs of it are,

Processor - Athlon 64 3000+ 2.0 GHz (Socket 754)
Motherboard - SIS 760 (Asus K8S-LA)
512MB DDR RAM
160 GB SATA HD

The problem with my pc is that it started to randomly freeze after being on for a while. When i opened up the case i saw that the metal heatsink thing was dangling off the motherboard. It seems that one of the metal clips to hold the heatsink down has come off.

This actually happened quite a while a go, and when the base unit is on its side the pc will turn on and work, but when i stand the base back up the heatsink keeps falling off and freezing the PC.

I think that the motherboard is probably close to becoming fried so was looking to replace it.

I was thinking of buying a bundle, that comes with a new motherboard, some ram, and a processor so i can take out the old ones and replace with new ones.

I have seen this ECS GS7610 bundle which is a socket 754, 3000 Athlon what do you think?
Should i go for this? Or is there not much point as they components are a bit outdated now?

Should i replace this with a newer motherboard bundle?
Then would i need to change my psu too?

Im looking to spend up to max of £100.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

RiCh

AM2 is pretty much the way forward for amd now, so i wouldn't really buy anything else. You could however pick up some parts second hand on e-bay though to tide you over?
