Computer will not boot
Hey
A few years ago i built my own pc with the following parts - AMD 64 1.6 Ghz Nvidia 6800 GT (though i somehow managed to kill this) ABIT Fatality Motherboard 1 gig ram soundblaster ect... I recently upgraded to vista which i am somewhat regretting as i have had nothing but problems since doing this. I have managed to sort out most of my problems with a format or system restore but this problem has got me stumped. When i turn on the computer the first image to appear is the ABIT thing, which is usual. However it just freezes on this screen. I have a CMOS button on some panel on the front, which connects to the motherboard. I have tried pressing this to reset the bios but still the same problem. I also cannot press delete to get into the bios set-up... I figure that some piece of hardware has gone but has anyone got any ideas? Any help would be much appreciated |
