BSOD with Nvidia nForce 790i Ultra SLI
Ok, so where to start...
I recently bought a machine with the following specs: nForce 790i Ultra SLI mobo Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (overclocked to 3.3GHz) 2 x Nvidia 9800 GTX in SLI It boots up lovingly, but I was getting the BSOD every few minutes. I rang support and they advised to reset the BIOS to default, the aim here being to see if overclocking it had thrown it off (new hardware that they're not yet comfortable with). I've reset the BIOS and this appears to have had an effect, however I'm still getting BSOD every 10-15minutes. No two error messages are alike, although all reference new hardware and changes to the BIOS. The error occurs when I start to push the system, ie: load in a game etc. Any ideas? Mort |
