Motherboard Problem

Hello everyone,

This is my first post and it's a bit of a worry. Maybe the blonde hair i have says it all.

Basically i bought a new motherboard and fitted a new processor onto it as i have done previously before. Everything was ok until i powered it up....it didn't boot, even to the BIOS?. At a loose end i consulted a computer shop to which they said that the motherboard was at fault.

From there i returned it to the supplier and was contacted to advise me that they were unable to replace the motherboard as a few of the pins on the motherboard socket were bent. I have paid £65 + £15 postage ( inc returns ) to which i have a non functional motherboard now.

My question is......Can this motherboard socket be fixed or would i need to swollow my pride and opt to get another motherboard and get it fitted with someone who knows what they are doing!!!!. I am absolutely gutted but need some advice

Thanks

Shazza
