Help with Motherboard

I just purchased a Biostar P4M80-M4-Combo44 478 motherboard and I can't get into the Bios.

On bootup there is one beep and the bottom of the screen says "press (del) enter setup". I press delete but nothing happens, and after a few seconds it reboots itself - but still hitting delete does nothing.

Then it sits there with only the Biostar logo page showing, just sits like it's frozen - I either have to turn the computer off, or hit reset which just starts the process all over again.

Thanks, I appreciate any help I can get.

Lady

Hi, welcome to itsallpc.co.uk Computer Forum.

To ensure you really press Del just before Windows start, you can press continuously rather press once only.

Try change the BIOS memory battery is another way to try...

this may sound really stupidly simple but make sure that you heyboard is connected properly!!

my family computer would do anthing once and i looked at it and the keyboard wasnt connected!!

also another idea is to remove as much harware as possible so keep the psu,mobo,1stick of ram,no graphics card if you have onboard and so on, then try booting and see what happens, then i fit works add peices in one at a time, may fix your problem it worked for me once just ripping it apart and putting it back together bit by bit, i dont know how that works it just does.
