Motherboard incident. Problem or not.
I have a dvd drive that is a nonstandard length(extra long) and when i put it in my comp, it took the pleasure of removing one of the capacitors off my mobo! the computer appears to be running fine, although i havent tested it thouroughly. should i replace the cap or just leave it alone?

Re: Motherboard incident. Problem or not.
Hi there and welcome to the forum,
Ok if there is something on a motherboard then it is there for a reason. If you have broken the Cap off then i would suggest to prevent future problems and a total system shortout that you get this fixed as soon as you can much better safe than very very sorry later if the MB overheats or shorts out and fries everything.. better to spend a few £'s getting it fixed now rather than paying a Lot of £££'s to buy a new PC Loz
