Advice on Motherboard Boards

Hi,

I have an old DELL 8100 (5 Years) that I would like to upgrade with a new motherboard, need a PC for the kids. I have never done this before so I am looking for some advice on where to start.

Upgrading a system that is 5 years old is not really feasible. I recommend looking at buying a new or newer second hand machine.

It is possible to get a modern system at a very good price for the updates you would have to make on a machine that is 5 years old it would be cheaper and quicker to get a new PC. . Of cource building your own pc is great. But not for everyone. If you search out places like ebuyer.com you can get a good pc for a very reasonable price.
If you would like help in choosing a new pc please tell us what you would like to do with it and a rough budget that you would have.
