Motherboards compatablity with a CPU

HI IM NEW AND ARE JUST WANDERING IF SOMEONE COULD HELP ME AS I AM WANDERING WHETHER THE ***ASUS A8N SLi PREMIUM*** WOULD BE COMPATIBLE WITH ***AMD ATHLON 64 X2 4800***

Try and get the latest version of the motherboard ask when it was made. As you cannot change the voltage on the older type.

IVE READ A LITTLE ABOUT IT AND MOST PLACES SEEM TO SAY THAT I WILL HAVE TO CONFIGURE (UPGRADE) THE BIOS TO HAVE A DUAL PROCESSOR RUNNING ON THAT MOTHERBOARD

You're very lucky if the only thing you need to upgrade is your BIOS when building a system.

I recently purchased 1
Asustek A8N-SLI Deluxe Socket 939 nForce 4 SLI PCI-E ATX (similar) and found out that the X2 capability is merely a sticker attached to a box, the proccessor will not clip onto the rention chasis on the MB. I'm getting really fed up now with MB's that die, don't work or have 2 SATA systems that have a conflict issue.
