load xp
Hi need some help. I have formated my hard drive and want to load windows xp pro.
Previously had windows 98 2002 When i load xp disc i get line4154 of inf\1386\txt setup.sif is invalid Can anyone help. Regards cara

It looks to me like the file on the CD that is being used to provide the information for the unattended install has a mistake in it, which is causing the install to fail.
In the first instance, I'd contact the vendor and ask them for an alternate CD. You might also want to look at the .sif file to see if you can ascertain what the error actually is - the error message tells you which line of the document the error is on, and you should be able to open the document with a text editor like notepad.
