XP HOME with Dual Core CPUs

Hi,
ive got a core 2 duo cpu and XP Home, even though the pc works, does xp home support dual core cpu's? or do I need XP Pro? if I need Pro can I upgrade from XP Home without a reformat? Cheers

I've never tried it, or heard of anyone that has.... But I would have thought that there would be no problem?

I don't know for sure though.

Yeah i am pritty sure that it will work.

A refomat takes everything off the computer, even the OS

XP home as far as i know supports dual core processors.
