Question User Accounts - share programs or reload?

I have just used 'User Accounts' to set up separate access for the kids which generally work OK.

However, some (but not all) of the kids games programmes etc are no longer accessible from the kid's user (desktop shortcuts lost and programmes no longer listed in Startup program list).

The programmes are still accessible from my administrator account. As the programmes are already installed on my computer I presume I do not have to install 'additional' copies for every new User Account? I guess there is some way to make the programme accessible from the Kid's account?

I would appreciate any advice. Jimi

ok, so basically what your saying is you cant see the shortcuts to run the games, if that is correct, then on the Administrator account goto

My computer-->C Drive-->Documents & Settings-->Administrator (or whatever your administrator account is named)-->desktop

inside the desktop folder you will find the shortcuts to the games, highlight them, then copy them...

then goto

My computer-->C Drive-->Documents & Settings-->Kids account-->desktop

paste the shortcuts in the desktop folder.

Ok, now the start menu programs..goto

My computer-->C Drive-->Documents & Settings-->Administrator (or whatever your administrator account is named)-->Start Menu-->Programs

inside the programs folder, highlight and copy the kids games / programme folders and then copy them..

goto
My computer-->C Drive-->Documents & Settings-->Kids account-->Start Menu-->Programs

Paste the programmes/games into the programs folder...then when you logoff and onto the kids account the shortcuts should appear on the desktop and startmenu..

Hope this helps...Dave
