Whenever I Start Xp...

I just did a reinstall of Windows XP and now everytime I restart it says "Boot failure, insert system disk and press enter to continue." I put in the XP Pro disk and away it goes.. Why is this, is there any way around it, putting in the XP disk every time I start the computer is really annoying.

Thanks,
Jbrown

Have you tried closing down all other applications and simulating the issue? I really can't do that.

For a generally unstable system:
Have you reinstalled Windows? Duh...
Have you run a memory test? (I recommend Memtest86+) My memory is fine..
Have you scanned your hard disk drive for defects? Yepperz...

Windows version and service pack: Windows XP Professional SP2
Processor type, speed and supplemental information: AMD Athlon 1.1GHz Socket A
Motherboard manufacturer and model, Asus A7v400-MX

Include background information: Uhhh, it started after I reinstalled windows... I didn't have this problem before...

Include relevant information: When I put the windows disk in and restart, it boot up fine.

Give an indication of your computer skill: I don't need any advanced descriptions.

Does the system display a warning message or completely reboot without error: It displays the screen I am talking about. It says "Boot failure, insert system disk and press enter to continue."
Does the image freeze or turn black: ?
Does the sound carry on, loop, or stop: Umm there's no sound in the startup until windows starts.
Does the mouse still move, system beep when you press keys or is there no response to input: No system beep only because i have it turned off in the bios. There is response to input.

Not worth it MidiMoto

They probably told the user to run a repair, or reinstall.
