So my PC just turned itself off
- Windows XP SP2
Hi! Ok. I've just been on my laptop talking on msn, and since im sat next to the PC I decided to use it for playing music (louder yah see) Anyway... After about an hour or so the music from the PC started stuttering which was weird.. anyway.. I let it play on, when all of a sudden the PC just shut down (logged off properly through Windows). Left it ten minutes, turned it back on, a program called CCAPP.EXE (or similar, can't remember the name) "Has cause an unexpected error and must close", then I have the option to wait 15 seconds or let it "end now", either way means to pc just shots down again. No recent changes, althought earlier today I was removing unused programs using the add/remove programs list. No new programs have been installed. Since most of the important stuff is on the secondary HDD, not a lot of data will be lost formatting, but still, i'd prefer not to... PC has been scanned weekly with Norton antivirus 2006 and Ad-aware... Any suggestions, apart from formatting?? (PS. Yes, this is the PC with a 250W PSU + Every bay full, could this be the problem?) Thanks Tom.
