XP Theam problem
Hi i have got a very strange problem, I got brand new computer yesterday and insalled windows XP home sp2 on it and all the relivent drivers just got the p.c set up how i wanted it and then when i finally done it all all was fine with it restarting about 500 time you know how it is and all was good. then i shut the p.c down and went to bed got up in the morning and for some reason the WINDOWS AND BUTTONS in APPEARECES IN DISPLAY PROPERTIES had changed to CLASIC STYLE and ther is no other option to change it back to xp style it was working fine lastnight but not now how can i change this back to XP STYLE and why has it disapeared please help cos i hate this STYLE
P.C specs windows xp home sp2, amd 64 3400+ 400gb mextor hard drive, 512mb nvida 6600 pci gfx, 2gb ddr ram, 16x dvd drive. |

hi there can i recommend you download stylexp from http://www.tgtsoft.com/download.php the windows xp theme is on there select it then select ok, once uve done that u shud be able to remove style xp and ur xp theme will stay

Please don't do the above just yet. It's not a good idea to go installing pieces of software when there is no need, especially when there may be an issue with your theme subsystem.
Try reading this thread first. If it doesn't help, post back. |

[size=10px]You can Try this when themes are not working you cannot select the Windows XP theme on a XP-based computer. The cause can be that you have had an XP tweaker on your pc and managed to turn off theme settings. Do the following... 1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK. 2. In the list of services, right-click Themes, and then click Properties. 3. On the General tab, click Automatic in the Startup type list. 4. On the General tab, click Start under Service status, and then click OK. 5. Exit Services. Reboot.
