hi im new to this forum and im not sure exactly what you help with here i redid windows xp and now i need a keycode to use within 30 days the code that i put in arigionally will not let me activate it could someone out there have a code thats not registered ty Clydes :'(mom |

I don't understand... If you reformat Windows XP, it shouldn't ask for another keycode at all. + A License costs a fair bit of money for XP, good luck getting one free... :-\

I agree, use there telephone option and re-activate through that. I just did this ~3 days ago with my GF's computer after re-installing XP (new motherboard). If the automated system says you can't do it, talk to an actual customer representative and explain what you did. As long as it's the SAME computer, they will give you a new key. I've done it this way as well, and the lady read me off a new key since it was the same HDD and PC.
