Windows ReadyBoost
Hello there, Can anyone tell me if Windows ReadyBoost Technology is compatible with Windows Vista Home Basic O/S version? I've got a new Toshiba Laptop with Windows Vista Home Basic O/S installed and I need to know if the ReadyBoost feature (kinda from an USB 2.0 Flash Drive) it'll work in my computer. Thanks in Advance!!
P.S: Main specs for this Lap are: Intel T2080 1.73 X2 Processor 1GB DDR2 SDRAM 120 GB Hard drive 5400 r.p.m. Last edited by kyborg : 01/09/07 at 06:58. Reason: Adding more info |

Hi kyborg
![]() Yes you can use Ready Boost but you need a flash drive that can support it, what you wont get is "Aero" semi-transparent graphics (supporting graphics card required, not available on Home Basic edition). Ready Boost - Vista don't like the slower Flash Drives and will refuse to use them, but as with most Computer related things theres a way around this Please read > HereHope it helps hun. |
