Vista and MSN

I've FINALLY got my laptop back from comet and it has Vista HB. I've installed Windows live messenger, first thing. I managed to sign on once but straight away it kicked me off and said
"Messenger has stopped working"

then

"A Problem cause the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Each time i try sign onto msn I get them same messages. Its the only program on the laptop sinces its like 2 hours old...

Any ideas?

Thanks
Tom.

This ones a problem with Vista and Acer. something to do with flash player not working right and it's Acers fault or something, so Micosoft say.

There's supposedly a patch on the Acer website but I can't see one.
