Why would you buy vista ?

Why would you buy vista .is it because it looks good or because it is easier to use and has better performance??? many people go for the theme than worry about the performance of vista.tell me what you think??
if you like the theme of vista, why dont you just get the theme pack for xp or aero glass for xp. its easy just download the patched uxtheme.dll
and use devian art website to download the aero glass visual style??

I wouldn't buy Vista - to put it quite simply. Windows XP does the job. Don't get me wrong the next time I buy a new computer I will buy one with Vista on it; but I wouldn't upgrade from XP - compelte waste of cash... In my oppinion anyway.

thanks for your opinion and it was my first post.
yes i would not upgrade to windows vista because all the drivers would be missing for my hardware and only 150 apps only work on vista.

once again thanks for your post

First of all, like any other new Microsoft OS, it will have bugs and security holes. Plus there are compatiblity issues with software and hardware, and a lack of drivers for alot of stuff out there for Vista. Patches and Services packs will overcome this eventually to some extent, as will software and hardware company's making vista drivers over time according to demand.

Personally i have no reason to move to vista just yet, it may look good visually, but compatiblity issues are off putting, and i am doing fine with XP. It is likely i will look at moving to vista at some point in the future, either when they release SP1 or when there are a few games on DX10 which i am dying to play!
