Question screen problem..

I have two, very thin (hairline) lines running through my screen which have recently appeared. They run vertically and are light blue & purple in colour. They appear on ever programme I run and only go when I turn off the computer....any ideas what this is and if I can fix it?

Sounds like a video card problem. Do you have another PC in the house that you can check your monitor on? It's sensible to make sure it's not the monitor.

cracked or broken bulb

hi, my old laptop has the same problem, i'm told there is a bulb or strip light at the top of the laptop lid which provides the light etc, when it is cracked or damaged you grt the vertical lines down the screen, if you squeeze the top where the lines are you'll find it fades or goes away, new bulb or new screen, depends what you want to spend
