laptop keyboard

Hi Guys

Have a small problem - The letter u on my laptop keyboard does not seam to work. Any suggestions???

Thanks for replying - No the unit is not under warranty. Silly me bought it secondhand from a friend. I paid £200 to him about 10 months ago. It appeared to be ok then, but I have never used it as I have PC and did not know how to set both up together. I have taken the key off the clip and replaced it again, but still the letter will not catch. I asked my friend if he spilled anything on it and he assured me he did not. Friend said 'keys sometimes stick on these laptops - but it was ok when he had it'!!!!!

Need to get a new friend hu!!!! :-\

It's hard to know what's causing it if the key assembly appears to be intact; I have no suggestions other than carefully cleaning the contact plate underneath the key.
