Re: help with a new laptop

No what they are saying is this the very first charge of your laptop should be for 12 hours. This is to let the battery get used to the charge and settle. This makes the battery optimal and increases the lifetime of the battery.
After the initial charge you can use the laptop on the mains and let it charge in the background. No problem at all.

Recap after the first charge use your laptop like normal and let it charge in the background.

So enjoy your new laptop Loz

So If I understand you right, I don't need to wait 8 more hours, but start using it now. and in 8 hours, I can start using the battery? Am I correct?

No you MUST WAIT 12 hours first to charge the battery DO NOT USE YOUR LAPTOP before the 12 hours are up.

Just plug it in let it charge and leave it alone.....

After the 12 hours are up you can use your new laptop like normal. Loz

What i did was this when i got my new laptop i took the battery out and used it then at night before i went to bed i put the battery back inĂ‚Â! i plugged it in to the mains and charged it overnight...

Re: help with a new laptop

Well, first let me say I am writing from Israel, and I bought an LG LS55 laptop. The reason I bought it was due to a very complicated and disappointing story with my previous one (which is still very new) from Toshiba.

I bought it when I was leaving in NYC USA not to long ago, with international warranty, and now they are giving me hell with support (that I am entitled to) in a technical major problem.

I really hope that this LG will due the job well and that I will enjoy it

Thanks for asking.
