Hi, for a year of so my monitor has been losing it's red. Slowly at first then altogether.

The tricky thing has been that I can get it back by reconnecting the cable between the video card and the monitor. But even that fails to work now.

The screen is working fine otherwise.

Do I need to replace my video card?

Is it an LCD or CRT monitor? Have you tried a different monitor on the same system?

It's very unlikely to be graphics, most likely to be either the monitor or the cable...

It is a CRT monitor, I forgot to say!
