hi i have no idea if its possible but you never know .is it possible to unlock the new 6800gs 12 pipelines to 6800ultras 16. im doing some research into it now but wondered if any 1 knew if you could or not thanks ;D

No, it's not possible. With the agp 6800 it's possible to unlock it from 12 to 16 pipelines since it uses the same 16 pipeline chip as the gt and the ultra (just with four of the pipelines locked), however, when nvidia started making the gs they decided it would be cheaper and more efficient to make it using a different chip without the extra 4 pipelines at all, leading to the nv42 architecture which is in the 6800 gs and the pci-e version of the base 6800.
