Graphics Card for old PC?
Hi,
I was asked recently to put a Graphics Card into an old PC (5yrs old). It it used mainly for childrens games and typing. The mobo layout should be below. What would be the best way to go about this? I was going to go with a PCI card but any ideas would be great.ÂÂ! Also, can anyone tell me what an LTI slot is used for. My only experience is with new systems ![]() THANKS!! ![]() |

Re: Graphics Card for old PC?
dont' wnt to sound tooooooooooooooo stupid LOL but can you actually put a new graphics card into an older machine??
i have an old machine in the cupboard in the spare room and the motherboard looks exactly like above, though its very small (i call it the baby brother board ) i always assumed the slots etc were too small to fit anything "newer" though i ahve to say i have never tried either.. :-\i couldnt be sure what an LTI port is used for or what it is... my instinct tells me its something to do with a printer ?? but i could be SOOOO wrong, so wouldn't take my word for it? have you looked it pictures etc of old motherboards on the net, someone somewhere is bount to know ![]() sorry cant be of much help to you Mr Builder, though i do hopw you manage to get what you need done. ![]()
