Re: performance testing

3DMark by Futuremark is the most well used benchmarking tool of the 3D performance of a computer. The ORB (Online Results Browser) allows you toÂÂ! easily upload and compare your score to the rest of the huge userbase. When your logged in, you can follow comparison links (like the one in my signature) to quickly rank your system against others.

3DMark05 is the newest, best for high end graphics cards.
3DMark03 is for the last generation or this generation's middle graphics cards.

Click here to go to Futuremark's website.

Re: performance testing

As he said, 3DMark 03/05 are currently the best benchmarking programs out there that are designed to mainly test the video card.

But you can only upload your results if you buy the software, you are able to download the demo which can tell you your score, but you cant upload it.

This statement is incorrect; there is no restriction to uploading results with the freeware licence – I have done so.

It says right on the futuremark site: "Professional Online Result Browser service is available with the Pro version" You may be able to upload them, but there are things that you cant do with the free version.

Re: performance testing

I've uploaded with the free version, or "publish" it I suppose is the correct term.

Re: performance testing

Yes, the matter in question was whether you could publish results, not whether you can search the ORB for GPU clock speeds or view other user’s full system details etc (Pro ORB features), which you can.
