Radeon sub-ranks
I'm looking into a "Radeon X### ??" but am unsure about the differences. A radeon X300 XT can cost more than a radeon X600 or X700.
So what's better (value for money), a lower model with a high sub-rank or a higher model with a lower sub-rank? |

Re: Radeon sub-ranks
Hello peekaboo. The difference in the cards is because of the GPU/VPU memory DDR DDR2 DDR3 and then you have the choice PCI-E or AGP.
Here is a list fof the Radeon cards and details about each http://www.ati.com/products/gamer.html Can you tell us does your motherboard support AGP or PCI-E as this is important Loz.

Re: Radeon sub-ranks
You'll want an X800 model for sure if you cna afford it.
The X700's (depending on model) can compete with the likes of the older Radeon 9700's and 9800's (the higher the X700 model, the more it can compete with the higher oroginal Radeon model) The X300 and X600 series really aren't worth looking into. They are essentially the budget oriented line of the X### cards. The X300 really is more like an FX5200 lol. Oriented towards gamers but can't run next to anything.
