General Computer Software & Software Development Post here if you have any problems or comments about software that is not directly related to the operating system. This excludes virus and spyware protection suites, for which we have a separate board and drivers which should do in their relevant hardware board.

How can I remove the newer version so that I can install the older version.
I have tried Remove Programs in the Control Panel, but Nortons does not appear there.
The licence on the older version covers two computers so there is no problem with that.
I Know this post is a little old but thought i would post this for anyone who's looking with the same problem.

My friend has just recently got a lap top and had the same problem with nortons not showing in add/remove etc he telephoned the support line provided with his lap top and they directed him to a website with removal tools on it for nortons and a few others so you may be best doing the same.

Re: Norton Anti Virus question

I notice this is a last year topic but I only wish I can help you. You may try uninstall your anti virus but install the 'Smarty Uninstaller 2006', or 'Norton Antivirus removal tool', it's now available in 'www.majorgeeks.com.com'. Try figure it out
