repeater
Hi new member
have a 1mb broadband connection , its the best spped i can get (not too close to exchange) rung bt for bt vision , say you need 2mb speed but they say i can buy a repeater to double my connection speed what are these i dont understand ?? any help welcome thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Hi
A repeater is basically a device that re-transmits your wireless network signal. It is used if your wireless signal is weak. It is not used to increase your ADSL internet speed. Your internet speed is, as you know, determined by the distance from the BT exchange. Apart from ensuring that you use your master socket and make sure all the cabling is in good condition there is not a lot you can do to increase your ADSL speed unfortunately. I hope this helps.
